Last week we started our new series for this month, Putting Sunday First. Every Wednesday, my blog posts will be about ways that we can prioritize Sunday mornings so that we can get to church and worship as a family. We have talked about the why, but now it’s time to talk about the how. It’s all part of my focus this year on discipline.
Over and over again, I have heard moms say how hard it is to make Sundays happen. And I completely agree. So let’s have a massive brainstorming session on Twitter! Here are the details.
The new #mamadiscipline Twitter chat!
Tuesday, February 11 at 9 pm CST for 30 minutes
On Twitter! You’ll be at home and the kids will be in bed already.
New to Twitter? A Twitter chat isn’t so hard. You may want to start by following me on Twitter.
Then search for all posts with the hashtag #mamadiscipline.
I’ll get us started promptly at 9 pm CST and everything I tweet will have this hashtag. If you want to reply or ask questions of your own, you’ll need to use the same hashtag, #mamadiscipline so that we can all see your tweets.
Be sure to refresh your browser frequently so that you can see all the latest posts. I will ask a number of questions to get us all brainstorming about ways that we can make Sundays work out better for our families.
You, mama. Yes you.
The one who hasn’t been in church since your first baby was born.
Or the one who is late every week (I know what that’s like!).
Struggle with getting out the door with happy hearts? Yep, we get that too.
Or maybe you are phenomenal at this. Then please, share your wisdom with us!
And if you’re a mom and your kids have already left the nest, then we would welcome you too. We need your wisdom.
So put the kids to bed and join us for just a half hour. We’ll finish with plenty of time left to snuggle with our honeys. Sound good? See you then!
What do you say? Are you in?
